How to Play Tongits
Step 1: Understanding the Basics
Tongits is played with a standard 52-card deck. The objective is to form valid card combinations (sets of three or four cards of the same rank, or runs of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit) while minimizing the value of unmelded cards in your hand.
Step 2: Drawing and Discarding
On your turn, draw one card from the draw pile or pick up the top discard. Then, form melds if possible and discard one card to end your turn. Strategy is key - choose which cards to keep and which to discard wisely!
Step 3: Winning the Game
Win by being the first to meld all your cards (Tongits!), or by having the lowest point value when the central stack runs out. Master the art of calling "Draw" strategically to end the game on your terms!
Step 4: Scoring and Points
Face cards (J, Q, K) are worth 10 points, Aces are worth 1 point, and numbered cards are worth their face value. The winner collects points from opponents based on the value of their unmelded cards. Practice makes perfect!
